FREDERICKSBURG—Messina Hof Hill Country Winery's Sunset Harvest Festival is ideal for those who appreciate exquisite wine and breathtaking Texas sunsets.
Guests are invited to participate in the winemaking process and appreciate the scenic majesty of the vineyard at the annual festival, which is scheduled to take place on August 30 from 6 PM to 8:30 PM.
Participants will be granted the unique privilege of selecting fruits for the production of the winery's exclusive Private Reserve, Papa Paulo Port. "This is an exceptional opportunity for our guests to establish a connection with the harvest tradition," stated Karen Bonarrigo, co-owner of Messina Hof. Strolling through the vineyard at sunset while picking grapes is an unforgettable experience."
After the grapes are harvested, the ancient tradition of grape trampling, which has its roots in ancient Rome, can be participated in by all participants.
As a memento of the evening, guests will also receive a souvenir "Harvest Crew" t-shirt, which includes their own purple imprints. "It’s all about making memories while celebrating the bounty of our vineyard," Bonarrigo emphasized.
The culmination of the festival will be a toast that includes a first sample of the Hill Country Port still in the barrel and a delectable dinner buffet.
Tickets for the event are priced at $75 and include two glasses of wine, a Harvest shirt, grape selection, and stomping.
A must-attend event for wine enthusiasts and families alike, the Sunset Harvest Festival promises to be a delightful evening filled with fun, cuisine, and fine Texas wine as the harvest season approaches.
