Today, after a foggy morning, Austin will have a warm afternoon with temperatures rising into the upper 70s and low 80s. Early commuters may have trouble because of dense fog, primarily east of I-35. But by noon, the clouds will slowly lift, revealing more sunshine.
It will be cooler tonight because of a weak cold front that will move through. The National Weather Service says that Austin will have more clouds Wednesday night. The low temperature will be around 57°F, and the wind speed could reach 20 mph. On Thursday, the high temperature will only reach 66°F, and the sky will be mostly cloudy. Wind gusts will last all day but slow down at night.
It will return to warm by Friday when the sun comes out again. Tonight's low will be mild, at 50°F. Saturday will be warmer, with highs rising to 79°F. The weather will be nice over the weekend, with light winds and partly sunny skies.
When driving on I-35, mornings will be foggy, and the wind will change direction until Thursday. It won't get very cold because of the cold front, but it will cool things down by 5° to 10°. The sun will shine again by Friday, making for a lovely weekend.
In the coming days, Sunday will stay warm with a high of 78°F, but there is a slight chance of rain on Monday night. There is a greater chance of rain on Tuesday, though the amount seems small.
