Salvador Saucedo, a 37-year-old convicted sex offender who left Austin County on January 23, is under massive manhunting. Authorities confirmed Thursday that the U.S. Marshals Service had lately joined the Waller County Sheriff's Office in the search.

Saucedo escaped while undergoing tests at Mid Coast Medical Center - Bellville after being found guilty in 2022 for indecency with a child via contact involving an 11-year-old girl in Brazos County. A U.S. Marshals press release states he was last seen sporting blue pants, a black T-shirt, and a white head scarf. He should be regarded as hazardous, officials caution.

Saucedo, a Hispanic man with face tattoos, missing front teeth, and brown hair with red highlights might have changed his look to become undetectable. Authorities think he might be a migrant or homeless person pretending otherwise.

Apart from his earlier conviction, Saucedo was charged in 2023 with another count of indecency with a child and other stalking charges. The Waller County Sheriff's Office said following his escape that he has also been accused of assault on a peace officer and other connected felonies.

Authorities advise anyone who observes Saucedo or knows his location to notify law authorities immediately.
