The new work week will begin in Central Texas with peace and sunshine after the storms on Sunday. Any clouds that are still there in the morning will quickly go away, leaving behind sunny, dry skies this afternoon. Today, the high temperature will be in the mid- to upper 80s, which is about 10 degrees above the normal for this time of year.
The high temperature on Tuesday will reach the low 90s, making it even warmer than today. The next round of stormy weather will hit in the middle of the week. Thanks to a storm system forming over northern Mexico, Central Texas will get a lot of rain on Thursday and Friday. Some heavy downpours are likely. Early predictions say that it could rain at least an inch across the area.
The KXAN First Warning Weather team will monitor the incoming storm system and report back with the latest information on when it might hit and what effects it might have. Watch the weather and prepare for it to rain more at the end of the week.
